The site was formerly known as Hardscrabble Farm, an old fruit orchard, adding a unique historical layer to its charm. In 1998, golf course architects Jay and Carter Morrish renovated the course's bunkers and greens to enhance the gameplay, meeting modern standards while keeping the original layout intact.
