Cazenovia Park, part of Buffalo's Olmsted Park System, spans 83 acres and is a prime destination in South Buffalo. Designed between 1892 and 1894 by renowned landscape architects Olmsted, Olmsted & Eliot, the park is notable for its picturesque green spaces traversed by Cazenovia Creek. This creek not only enhances the park’s beauty but also provides a habitat for migratory birds.
Key features include the historical Cazenovia Casino, designed by Esenwein & Johnson and completed in 1912, along with the Shelter House from 1902, which saw restoration in 2016. Visitors can enjoy a variety of recreational facilities such as a public 9-hole golf course, multiple baseball/softball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, and even seasonal amenities like a swimming pool and an ice rink.
Managed by the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy—a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving these historic parks—Cazenovia Park remains an urban oasis for relaxation and recreation.
