Erie County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry offers two distinguished golf courses: Elma Meadows and Grover Cleveland Golf Course. These courses cater to golfers of all skill levels with their unique historical significance and challenging layouts.
Starting in 2024, the department will exclusively offer tee-time golf passes, which can be renewed in person at specific locations. Annual memberships must be purchased or updated at the downtown office on Franklin St during business hours. Gift certificates are available both seasonally at the courses and year-round at the downtown office.
The county provides an online tee-time reservation system with a $2.00 service fee per golfer for non-members. Additionally, golfers can reserve times via a call-in system. New for 2023, a weighted lottery system is in place to assign tee times fairly.
Elma Meadows Golf Course, a par 70 course spanning 6,700 yards along Buffalo Creek, features elevated terrain and long par 4s. Grover Cleveland Golf Course, a historic par 69 course totaling 5,621 yards in Buffalo City, was the site of the 1912 U.S. Open and showcases designs by renowned architects Walter Travis and Donald Ross.
