Pier 25 in Hudson River Park, managed by Manhattan Youth in collaboration with the Hudson River Park Trust, offers a variety of recreational activities aimed at providing a family-friendly environment in Lower Manhattan. The pier features an 18-hole mini-golf course available for walk-ins at affordable rates ($12 for adults and $5 for children). Beach volleyball enthusiasts can take advantage of court rentals, youth volleyball programs, and league play.
Amenities also include a snack bar for refreshments and a playground equipped with swings, water features, and climbing structures to ensure children are entertained. Visitors can engage in board games or relax in designated seating areas while taking in the scenic views of the Hudson River. The pier extends approximately 1,000 feet beyond the shoreline, offering an expansive area for enjoyment.
After its initial conversion from an industrial pier to a recreational site in 1995 and subsequent rebuilding efforts post-9/11 and over six years until reopening in 2011, Pier 25 remains a vibrant retreat amidst urban landscapes, enhancing community access to waterfront leisure activities.
