Blackfoot Municipal Golf Course is a historic golf venue located in Idaho. Its development began in 1956 under the supervision of Von Elm, who oversaw the initial construction and grass planting of the first four holes by 1957. The front nine holes were subsequently completed and opened for play on June 7, 1960. Construction of the back nine began much later, in 1978, and was finished by 1980. This course provides golfers with a complete 18-hole experience that reflects decades of dedication to maintaining high-quality playing conditions.
The course's lengthy history offers a snapshot into mid-20th century golf course architecture and its evolution over time. It provides both novice and seasoned golfers an engaging and challenging round amid Idaho's natural beauty. Additionally, its municipal status means it serves the community by being accessible to a wide range of players, making it not just a sports facility but a community hub as well.
