Atkins Golf Club, located in Urbana, Illinois, is a premier golfing destination now owned and operated by the University of Illinois. Originally known as Stone Creek Golf Club and established through the vision of Clint Atkins and architects Dick and Tim Nugent in 1999, the course was gifted to the university by The Atkins Family in 2020. This generous gift included over 300 acres of real estate valued at $15 million.

Following this acquisition, significant renovations were undertaken with input from architect Drew Rogers. These enhancements have transformed Atkins Golf Club into a championship-level venue that promises an engaging and challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. The course serves as the home base for both the men's and women's Fighting Illini golf teams—2023 Big 10 Champions—reflecting its high standards and competitive spirit.
