Barefoot - Love Golf Course

The Love Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf, designed by Davis Love III, captures the charm of the Lowcountry with its thoughtful integration of local heritage and landscapes. One of the unique features of the course is the historical element, as holes 3 through 7 include recreations of an old plantation home’s ruins, adding a distinct character to your round. With a Par 72 rating and stretching over 7,000 yards, the course provides an enjoyable mix that caters to both skilled golfers seeking a challenge and average players looking for an accessible yet rewarding experience.

The design takes inspiration from Pinehurst #2, famous for hosting numerous championships, especially evident in its green complexes. Golfers will find wide fairways made from GN-1 hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf, Tif-sport Bermuda grass in approach areas, Champion UltraDwarf greens on the putting surfaces, and 419 Bermuda grass in rough areas—each purposefully selected to enhance playability and maintenance. This ensures a well-rounded golfing experience that harmonizes tradition with modern amenities.
