Bergen County, NJ, offers a selection of six diverse golf courses catering to various skill levels and preferences.
Darlington Golf Course is an 18-hole course situated in the scenic Ramapo mountain range. Its tree-lined fairways, water features, and elevation changes provide a challenging yet visually appealing experience. The course is par 72 from the middle tees but changes to par 71 from the championship tees due to modifications on specific holes. Accuracy in driving and precision in approach shots are key for achieving lower scores. Additionally, there’s an on-site food concession known as Darlington Kitchen.
Orchard Hills Golf Course, located within Bergen Community College in Paramus, offers a sporty 9-hole layout. Significant renovations were completed in 2012, including new bunkers, tees, cart paths, irrigation system, and updated greens on select holes. The course spans 2,776 yards with small but well-protected greens that demand accurate and finesse-driven approach shots.
Both courses provide unique challenges and scenic views, suitable for both casual players and seasoned golfers.
