Terrapin Point, the third course at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club, is a private golf club located at the southern end of Skidaway Island in Savannah, Georgia. Designed by renowned architect Willard C. Byrd and opened in March 1982, this 6,837-yard, par-72 course offers golfers a blend of challenging play and scenic beauty. The front nine holes lead players to the southwest tip of the island before turning back toward Palmetto Clubhouse. Particularly notable are holes 8 through 10, which provide stunning views of marshlands, Adams Creek, and Ossabaw Sound.
A significant renovation led by Clyde Johnston in 2004 enhanced Terrapin Point’s features with new concrete cart paths, refreshed bunkers, upgraded irrigation and drainage systems, and an additional fifth set of tees to accommodate various skill levels. This combination of intricate design and meticulous upkeep delivers precise ball placement challenges on tight fairways amidst captivating natural surroundings, making it a memorable experience for all its members.
