Buenaventura Golf Course is a premier municipal golf facility located in Ventura County, California. Originally designed by William Bell and opened in 1932, the course underwent a substantial $6.5 million renovation in 2004 under the direction of Forrest Richardson, which included a complete re-routing and update of playing surfaces, resulting in its grand re-opening in March 2005. The course features large bent grass greens, mature trees, and white sand bunkers that enhance its characteristic parkland feel.
Important elements like safety, playability, strategy, and variety were integral to the redesign process. In 2012, KemperSports further upgraded playability and consistency by introducing platinum paspalum fairways, significantly enhancing the quality of the turf.
Located in Ventura’s beachside community with Southern California's temperate climate year-round, Buenaventura Golf Course is an excellent option for both recreational outings and serious tournaments. Available services include e-club membership for special offers, tournament planning assistance, and gift cards as a thoughtful option for golf enthusiasts.
