The course is beautifully intertwined with large Ponderosa pines, providing a visually appealing and challenging environment for golf enthusiasts.

Originally established in the 1920s, Elephant Rocks gained significant attention after being redesigned by renowned golf architect Gary Panks in 1990. This redesign not only elevated its status but also enhanced the overall gameplay experience. In 2000, the addition of nine more holes by Panks transformed it into a full-fledged championship course.

A notable feature of Elephant Rocks is its commitment to environmental sustainability; the course uses reclaimed water for irrigation purposes.
